When Citroën launched an estate version of the ID saloon, it was offering a vehicle with an enormous load volume accessible thanks to an ingenious tailgate system coupled to a tilting lower panel.

In order to be able to drive with the boot open (i.e. with the rear panel in the horizontal position), the ID Estate has two rear registration plates.

These features of the ID Estate have been represented on this miniature, along with a three-level suspension system that is very representative of Citroën models of the period.
