In 2024, the Peugeot 205 GTI celebrates its 40th anniversary. The journey began in 1984 with the launch of the first Peugeot 205 GTI, equipped with a 1.6L engine producing 105 horsepower.

In 1986, a version featuring a 1.9L engine developing 130 horsepower was introduced, further enhancing its reputation as a high-performance small sports car. Its exceptional chassis, light weight, and power made the 205 GTI a successful model, now highly sought after by car enthusiasts.
