In October 1984, in order to seduce a new young and dynamic clientele, Citroën presents the BX 19 GT which benefits from an increased power (105 hp) with a reasonable consumption.

These characteristics were widely promoted in the poster campaign or in the two clips linked to this version: the one with Julien Clerc (with the famous refrain "j'aime j'aime j'aime") and the one with 105 hp from a brigade of northern riders.

This version is equipped with a three-stage adjustable system, fog lamps integrated into the spoiler and the specific black GT logo at the front, a large black spoiler at the rear and a black net with the black GT logo at the sides.
