It was a difficult legacy for the VW Golf Cabriolet when it appeared at the end of the 1970s. Initially derided as a ‘strawberry basket’ due to its distinctive roll bar, the open-top Golf quickly outsells the nostalgic Beetle Cabriolet.

The elegant bronze metallic that we chose for our miniature is one of the less frequently ordered colours. From today's perspective, this is surprising, as it makes the flawless model look like a jewel in any display case.
