As a kind of European Mustang, the Ford Capri was available in Europe from 1969. The combination of a very sporty appearance and simple mass-produced technology ensured great sales success on both sides. From 1978, the Capri built in Cologne was recognisable by its revised front end and larger bumpers.

The Capri, which was specially built for Henry Ford II, was painted graphite grey and used by him as an official vehicle during visits to Europe. Our model also bears the English licence plate of this special Capri - AVW 109X.
