Ford Escort Cosworth 1992 Purple metallic 1:18

The Ford Escort Cosworth was developed in 1991 as a homologation model for the Group A World Rally Championship. Based on the Sierra Cosworth, it was built in 2 versions: the first 2,500 examples were fitted with a large Garrett turbocharger and a water-cooled intercooler, like the competition cars. To make it more suitable for everyday use, the Escort Cosworth was fitted with a smaller turbocharger from the end of 1994. This 2nd generation was available without the rear spoiler, which most customers nevertheless ordered.

The Norev model owes its perfect proportions to CAD data created from an original 3D scanned model. The body colour, Jewel Violet, is a tribute to the special 'Monte Carlo' model.
