The Lamborghini Miura is an automobile model from the Italian manufacturer Lamborghini, produced from 1966 to 1973. It was one of the first production cars to feature a mid-rear engine. It has become one of the major models in the history of the automobile. The car was the brainchild of engineer Gian Paolo Dallara1, who joined the company in 1963, and designer Marcello Gandini, a young engineer-designer at Bertone.
